Spring photoshoot with baby at Reading, Berkshire
Every season has its charm, but none can compete with spring. I love to capture families during the spring season for a reason. And a request for a baby photoshoot is like a cherry on top. Babies and spring sound like synonyms to me. So here is why I prefer the Spring season for photoshoots.
May it be spring blossoms, bluebells, daffodils, or tulips, they add such a great background for family pictures. When we head out as a family, researching local areas and scouting for such beautiful places is always my aim.
You don't need any props for this photoshoot. Keeping it simple and natural always works for me and my clients.
During winter and spring, the Northern Hemisphere leans away from the sun, and the sun hits us at an angle, creating much softer quality light. It helps me create lovely pictures even during midday. I don't get that flexibility during summer. Summer photoshoots are always scheduled for early morning or late evening to avoid harsh light during the day.
I loved capturing this family with 7-month-old baby Ava. We had planned on doing their family photoshoot over one of the spring weekends. Despite the weather warning of rain, we went ahead, ready with an umbrella. I have realised so far that UK's weather is rarely a reason I reschedule my photo shoots.
Dancing in the rain, exploring puddles, and playing with an umbrella is not something I get to capture every day. So if the family is ready, I am all in for it. :) Nevertheless, we got nothing apart from little drizzles in the end.
Baby Ava was super excited to explore the flowers around her. We ensured she was dressed well for the pictures and the weather (it was a little chilly indeed). All she needed was our attention. She made sure we matched her energy and excitement equally. :) We all enjoyed an hour out with a camera.
